Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 9, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how The MusicSquared Group, Inc. (“the Group,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you visit musicsquared.group, contact us, enroll in a program, set up a payment schedule, or purchase merchandise. It applies to the Group’s commercial operations. Charitable donations are handled separately by The MusicSquared Foundation, Inc. under its own policy at m2.gives.
Information we collect
We collect only what is needed to respond to you, process payments, and deliver our programs and products.
- Contact and inquiry information — name, email address, telephone number, and the contents of messages you send us through our forms or by email.
- Enrollment and program information — participant name, the program or course selected, session dates, and details you provide in an enrollment or registration form. Where a participant is a minor, this includes the name and contact details of the parent or legal guardian completing the enrollment.
- Order and transaction information — items purchased, order totals, billing and shipping addresses, order history, and payment-schedule details such as installment amounts and due dates.
- Payment information — card and bank details are entered directly into our payment processors’ secure systems. We do not receive or store full card numbers or bank account numbers. We receive only limited identifiers such as the card brand, the last four digits, an expiration date, and a processor transaction reference.
- Technical and usage information — IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and pages viewed, collected automatically through server logs and analytics.
- Cookies and similar technologies — used to keep your session active, remember cart contents, and measure site performance. You can disable cookies in your browser, though some features may not function.
How we use this information

- To send transactional messages such as order confirmations, payment reminders, schedule changes, and receipts.
- To send marketing or program announcements where you have opted in. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any such message.
- To detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, chargebacks, and misuse of our site or services.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.
Parties to whom we disclose information
We disclose personal information only to the categories of recipients below, and only for the purposes described.
- Payment processors — Stripe, Inc. processes card and bank payments for tuition, program fees, deposits, balances, passes, and merchandise. Affirm, Inc. processes payments where you select Affirm as your installment method; Affirm collects and handles the information required for that transaction directly under its own privacy policy.
- Ecommerce and website platforms — our WooCommerce store and hosting, content delivery, and security providers, which process order and technical data in order to operate the site.
- Customer relationship and communications providers — the systems we use to manage inquiries, enrollment records, and email delivery.
- Shipping and fulfillment providers — carriers and fulfillment partners receive the name and delivery address needed to ship merchandise orders.
- Analytics and advertising measurement providers — which receive technical and usage data to help us understand site performance.
- Professional advisors — our accountants, auditors, and attorneys, where reasonably necessary and subject to duties of confidentiality.
- Affiliated organizations — where you enroll in an educational program operated by an affiliated organization, including The MusicSquared Foundation, Inc. and The New York Performing Arts Academy, we share the enrollment and payment information necessary to register you and to administer that program. The Group provides billing, payment, and customer service support to affiliated organizations under written agreement.
- Legal and safety disclosures — we may disclose information where required by law, subpoena, or court order, or where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of any person.
- Business transfers — if the Group is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
How disclosures are made
Disclosures are made electronically over encrypted connections, either through the service provider’s hosted interface or through an authenticated application programming interface. Card and bank details are transmitted directly from your browser to the payment processor using an encrypted, tokenized connection and do not pass through or rest on our servers. Each service provider is engaged under a written agreement that limits its use of the information to the services it performs for us. We do not disclose personal information by unencrypted means, and we do not make personal information publicly available.
Security practices
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and loss. These include:
- TLS/HTTPS encryption across the entire website and all payment and enrollment forms.
- Tokenized payment handling through PCI-DSS compliant processors, so that full card and bank numbers are never stored on our systems.
- Role-based access controls limiting personal information to staff who need it for their duties.
- Multi-factor authentication on administrative, payment, hosting, and email accounts.
- Encryption of stored records and routine, access-controlled backups.
- Regular software, plugin, and server patching, with firewall and malware monitoring.
- Written confidentiality obligations for staff, contractors, and vendors with access to personal information.
- Retention of personal information only for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described above or to satisfy legal, tax, and accounting requirements, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. While we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by applicable law.
Children’s privacy
Many of our programs serve students under the age of eighteen. Enrollment, payment, and account information is collected from a parent or legal guardian, not directly from a child. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from a child under thirteen without verifiable parental consent. A parent or guardian may review, request deletion of, or refuse further collection of their child’s information by contacting us at the address below.
Your choices and rights
- You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you.
- You may request a copy of your information in a portable format.
- You may opt out of marketing email at any time; we will still send transactional messages related to your enrollment or order.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state or national privacy law, including the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising them.
